Collection: Shark

Blue Shark, Prionace Glauca.  Beautifully tanned & finished in Japan.  These pieces are strips or flanks, averaging 22-23dm (2.4 sq ft) in size.  The leather is soft and supple.  It is an aniline leather, vegetable tanned.   It has a unique grain which results in very beautiful small leather goods and watch straps.  

3.5 to 4.0 feet in length and 9-10 inches wide at the widest.  Rare and limited, the leather is not CITES but is monitored and imports are controlled and inspected by US Fish & Wildlife.
